Filmaday’s Weblog
A New Review Every Day!

About Me

Hole in one!

I’m a Washington, DC student/resident soaking up as much film knowledge as I can before I leave college.  Originally I really wanted this blog to be daily, but I’ve become aware that every other day is much, much more doable.  Once I graduate I’ll have the time required to bring you the baddest reviews on the web.  I know it’s false advertising and what not but the experiment proved too daunting for yours truly.  That said…

My favorites range from sentimental to dark. A good film for me is something stylistically different that brings up a new idea or new ideas. I’ve been told I’m a plot obsessed viewer but I’ll let you be the judge of that. Without further ado… my Top 13 in no particular order:

Mulholland Drive directed by David Lynch

Brick directed by Rian Johnson

Big Fish directed by Tim Burton

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid directed by George Roy Hill

Wayne’s World directed by Penelope Spheeris

Scarface directed by Brian De Palma

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade directed by Steven Spielberg

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas directed by Terry Gilliam

Vertigo directed by Alfred Hitchcock

Oldboy directed by Chan-Wook Park

He Got Game directed by Spike Lee

Rocky IV directed by Sylvester Stallone

Lost in Translation directed by Sofia Coppola
